Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco has dismissed reports linking Thapelo Morena with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

Earlier it was reported that both clubs were locked in negotiations for a swap deal between Morena and Chiefs striker Siphelele Mthembu.

Konco unequivocally denied negotiations for Morena and blasted a particular website for manufacturing stories about their players.

"If people still take that website's stories seriously they will be disappointed, because those people just write without thinking," Konco told KickOff.

"That's why I never speak to them, they create stories. They just wake up every morning and say 'which player are we going to speculate about today?' Just wait until Friday to see if Morena will be leaving us, there will be no such thing.

"We have never even spoken to Chiefs about such a thing but they (the website) have the guts to tell people that we are deep in negotiations.

"Last week the very same website said Mamelodi Sundowns is leading the race to sign Morena, this week they say it's Chiefs..."
