Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Justice Chabalala says he has no intention of leaving the club despite his lack of playing time this season.

The 27-year-old did not make a single appearance, from the bench or otherwise, in any competition for the Buccaneers this season.

Reports during the January transfer window suggested he might move to Maritzburg United on loan, but the deal either fell through or the rumour was false as no move materialised.

Several clubs have made inquiries about the defender following the conclusion of the 2018/19 season, but the player's agent, Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi, has stated that he has no interest in playing for anyone other than Pirates.

"Chabalala is a Pirates player and he's not a quitter," he told KickOff. "First option Pirates, last option Pirates. We are not going anywhere unless Pirates says otherwise.

"He is going nowhere, they love him there. So there is no way... he is not going anywhere.

"Yes his contract is getting finished but there's a two-year option. So he's got a future at Pirates and he is staying until he gets a chance.

“He was coming okay but Pirates have been winning so they couldn't change a winning combination."
