Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are two of a number of clubs said to be monitoring the progress of South Africa U17 starlet Mswati Mavuso.

Sundowns, the South African and African champions, are said be keeping tabs on the teenager who plays for Glendene United in the ABC Motsepe League, and for the junior national side as well.

The defender, who has a knack of scoring goals, helped the U17 team reach the final of the Brics Football Cup against Brazil in October.

The 16-year-old is also garnering a lot of attention from Premier Soccer League outfits, with Bidvest Wits and Baroka FC also reportedly showing an interest in the starlet's services.

A source told Soccer Laduma, "Mavuso is a wanted man. Chiefs, Wits, Baroka and Sundowns are all interested in him."

It appears the player won't have to wait too long to make his mark in SA's top flight if he keeps on catching the eye for both club and country.
