Cape Town - As Kaizer Chiefs continue to battle their way out of a bad spell of ongoing results, reports suggest that Gavin Hunt could replace Steve Komphela as head coach.

Komphela has been finding life tough at Naturena as Chiefs are on a four game losing streak.

There most recent one disappointing result comes as a shock after being knocked out of the CAF Champions League by ASEC Mimosas following a 1-0 defeat in the first-leg and Mimosas holding on tight in the second-leg with a goalless draw.

The Amakhosi fans have shown their frustrations by causing havoc at the stadiums following Chiefs' recent defeats against Jomo Cosmos and Mimosas.

According to Soccer Laduma, Hunt has been offered the Chiefs job before but was unhappy that he could not overhaul the entire squad.

It has been revealed that Hunt is in the last year of his contract with Bidvest Wits.

However, it will be difficult for Chiefs to lure Hunt away from the Students as he has complete control over at the club.

Wits are currently four points behind Mamelodi Sundowns in PSL as they look to claim the Absa Premiership crown.

Meanwhile, Chiefs are placed fourth with 39 points.
