Cape Town - SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels does not believe the club needs to bring in reinforcements during the upcoming January transfer window.

Matsatsantsa have had a torrid start to the campaign and, despite being touted as pre-season favourites for the title, find themselves way down the Premiership standings in ninth.

However, Daniels is adamant the current squad is both good and big enough to recover their season without adding any more players in January.

"I am really not sure if the team needs to be beefed up because we have a big squad of quality players already," Daniels told Goal website

"For me all that we need to do going forward is to grind results after a poor start to the season.

"We have seen a lot of improvement in the last few games of players like Furman. He is settling in well. I think at this stage we are getting the combinations right and the team will get better playing more games together.

"There is quality all round, but we needed to develop an understanding as a team."

Daniels is confident the current break in domestic fixtures will not adversely effect the team and expects them to come back fighting.

"There is nothing we can really do about this break; we just have to do our part as players. I think we are all on the same page now and I'm sure we will do the team proud going forward," he concluded.
