Cape Town - Erwin Isaacs has admitted Roger de Sa's departure from Ajax Cape Town was unexpected, but insists the club's players shouldn't "lose any sleep" over his exit.

The Urban Warriors have yet to register a victory in the Premiership and languish second-from-bottom - collecting a mere two points from their six games played.

It was through that, De Sa exited his post he held since 2014.

"Look, I need to be honest and say that I didn't see this coming," Isaacs told KickOff.

"That said I don't think we as players should lose any sleep over this.

"The fact that coach left is not the end of the world. That's soccer and that is coaches, they come and they go.

"Roger is a good friend, mentor and coach, and I wish him all the best. It's unfortunate that things turn out like this but we as players have no control over this.

"Besides, we're employed by Ajax, not De Sa," he added.

The 29-year-old stressed the importance of collecting maximum points, starting with their league encounter against Stuart Baxter's charges at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

"As you know we in very precarious position and that should be our main focus. We start on Saturday by beating SuperSport at home.

"That should be our main focus. I know when we get our first two victories then we'll be OK and take things from there. But we need to have believe," he concluded.
