Cape Town - Muhsin Ertugral says that he feel very sympathetic towards Eric Tinkler given Orlando Pirates resent form.

The current Mpumalanga Black Aces coach says that playing in the CAF Confederation Cup knock-out rounds and returning home to play in the Absa Premiership certainly shifted the Buccaneers players ambition.

Pirates have been struggling in the PSL having lost eight of their 19 games so far this season.

“I really have sympathy for Eric,” Ertugral said as quoted by KickOff.

“To get to the Final of the Confederation Cup; to beat Al Ahly in the semi-final … it’s not easy.

“You play against Al-Ahly in that semi-final and then you come back home and play local teams and it’s not easy to motivate the players.”

Aces have been in the form of their lives under Ertugral and are currently in third position with 36-points in the PSL, same as Bidvest Wits.

However, Ertugral will want to win their next tie against Tinkler’s Pirates as Kaizer Chiefs are right behind them with 35-points.

Kick-off is on Sunday, February 21 at 15:30.
