Cape Town - Muhsin Ertugral believes his track record as an Absa Premiership coach demonstrates he has the ability to get Orlando Pirates playing 'beautiful football'.

The experienced Turkish coach took over at Bucs following an impressive season in charge of Mpumalanga Black Aces (now Cape Town City).

He guided the team to fourth place as the club finished ahead of Kaizer Chiefs.

In addition, he has also achieved some success down the years in the PSL with the likes of Chiefs, Ajax Cape Town and Golden Arrows.

Pirates have struggled so far in pre-season but Ertugral remains confident he can deliver attractive football and results when the season properly gets under way.

He told The Star: "This team (Pirates) was number seven last season. We need time to get certain aspects right. I have proven more than once that I can get teams to play beautiful football.

"What were our mistakes last season? The defensive line for sure. The process of when we have the ball on the side, and how we get it into the middle (is another problem that we need to work on)."

The Turk concluded, "We had three under-23 players at the Olympics (Abbubaker Mobara, Gift Motupa and Thabiso Kutumela). They're top players. They will give that spirit of young boys."
