Hunt: Don't judge Keene yet

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt is refusing to get too carried away by the promising start James Keene has made at the club.

Keene has already netted four goals, in only three starts, including a hat-trick against Polokwane City, taking the Clever Boys to within one point of the summit.

But having been at the club for less than a month means that the England-born Keene, rejected by Kaizer Chiefs, still needs to prove himself, says Hunt.

"He has played three games, let's judge him after he has played 30 matches," Hunt told Mzansi Football.

"He's done well in those three games though, we couldn't have asked for more.

"In South Africa we judge far too early, after just three or four games. Let's rather see how he has done at the end of the season."
