Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt says title rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City have an easier run-in to the end of the season.

The Students edged out Sundowns 1-0 on Monday evening to move one point above the Brazilians at the top of the table.

City are one point further back and have played one game more than Wits and the Brazilians.

Eric Tinkler's side finish their campaign with matches against Free State Stars, SuperSport United, Golden Arrows and Polokwane City.

Sundowns must still play Platinum Stars, Orlando Pirates, Baroka FC, Maritzburg United and Highlands Park. They also have CAF Champions League games in the weeks ahead.

Still to come for the Clever Boys are Pirates, Maritzburg, Free State Stars, Polokwane and Kaizer Chiefs.

"We've got the hardest run-in, there's no doubt about it. Out of Cape Town City and Sundowns we've got the hardest run-in. I can't see any of them losing another game," Hunt told reporters.

A growing injury concern is another worry for Hunt.

"We've got a hell of a programme," he said.

"We've got to play on Thursday again. Pirates didn't play (since Saturday, as opposed to Monday like Wits), and then we've got to play on Sunday (Maritzburg) again.

"It's going to be a tough, tough run-in. We're losing players, as you can see, by one, two, three, every game, so we'll have to regroup and start again."
