Swallows FC coach Brandon Truter says it is built into the club's "DNA" to fight to the very end of every game they play.
The Dube Birds looked to be heading for just their second defeat of the 2020/21 DStv Premiership season in their clash with Golden Arrows this weekend before a 94th-minute goal from captain Vuyo Mere to secure a point.
It was the club's 12th draw in 20 games, leaving them in sixth place on the league standings.
As they prepare to face bottom-side Black Leopards this weekend, Truter explained his side really should have claimed all three points - at home.
He said in the SowetanLIVE: "Again, in the 94th minute, and I think it's in our DNA now, 94th minute to score a goal. It's in our character, we don't give up, but sometimes it's not good for the heart.
"We managed to sneak a point again, but it's not good enough at home. We should have picked up three points.
"In the boys' defence, they worked hard, and they wanted it as well. I can't fault them for the performance and their effort on the field, but it's not what we wanted.
"A draw again, the 12th one, but we'll take it. It's a point forward, and we're one of six or seven teams that can start planning for next season and not think about relegation."
