Bloemfontein Celtic head coach John Maduka was delighted to record his first Premiership win of the season on Wednesday night.
Siwelele defeated Black Leopards 1-0 at the Dr Molemela Stadium, with Ndumiso Mabena netting the only goal on 54 minutes.
The club have managed to secure their place in the MTN8 final with quarter-final and semi-final wins but have now claimed their first three points having drawn one and lost three league games.
Reflecting on his the game, Maduka said: "It was a good game, you saw the chances that we created, I think we could have finished off the game in the first half. So many positives we take, that was Celtic playing.
"The win means a lot, we have been waiting for the first win, so these three points and a first win at home, very important for us.
"The finishing is a concern but at least we can create chances. It is something we have to work on, to finish. You can only win games if you score goals,” added Maduka.
"At least one thing is done whereby we are creating so many chances going forward, so we just have to make sure that we plan to put them in the back of the net."
Up next for Maduka's charges is a CAF Confederation Cup clash against AS Maniema Union in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Sunday.
