Cape Town - Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson is hoping for a major improvement from his side in the CAF Confederation Cup, now that the Premiership has ended.

Dikwena struggled to balance continental football and their domestic fixtures this past season as they finished ninth in the table, just one point short of qualifying for the MTN8.

The Rustenburg club are currently at the bottom of Group B in the continental competition after being humbled by Mbabane Swallows in a 4-2 reverse at the Somhlolo National Stadium last week, and they travel to Tunisia on Sunday to face CS Sfaxien.

The fixture will kick off at 10pm at Stade Taieb Mhiri due to the holy month of Ramadan, which Johnson says will further challenge his team.

"It's not something we have encouraged before and that is why we are heading to Tunis early to make sure we can have a practice at 10pm and get used to the idea of a very late day," he told TimesLIVE.

"I thought our youngsters did very well in our first game against the Algerians but I was baffled by the fact we played so well against Kaizer Chiefs thereafter and then lost in Swaziland.

"The approach of our PSL players to these competitions doesn't make sense to me."
