Cape Town - Cavin Johnson has reiterated that Masibusane Zongo is one of the most gifted footballers in the country but the midfielder needs to work hard to fulfill his undeniable potential.

The Platinum Stars boss has previously waxed lyrical about the 25-year old's ability but after Dikwena's recent surge up to third spot in the Premiership table, Johnson couldn't hide his excitement about the former Supersport United player.

"I think what he shows you and what people see on the pitch is only five percent of his potential. The 95 percent of Zongo has not been seen as yet," he told the clubs official website.

"I do not think Zongo realises how powerful he is in the football game, however I do think he realises what he can do for himself in the game.

"Those have been my challenges to try to get him where he can think on those terms and then play football. He is getting better in terms of training and playing the game. It will take a long time to get better and we are pushing him, trying to get him to the next level

Johnson believes what makes Zongo such a unique talent is his ability to eliminate defenders with consummate ease, to keep defenders busy while his teammates find pockets of space in threatening areas higher up the pitch.

"He is one player you can rely on to change the game. He can eliminate players, make the game to be 11 versus seven because there are three players looking after him.

"Automatically you have got 11 but because there are three players looking after Zongo, the game changes completely. Then you have two extra players on the pitch."
