Kaizer Chiefs have issued a statement regarding the players currently training with the Premiership side.

Free agents Sifiso Hlanti, Phathutshedzo Nange and Brandon Petersen had all been with Amakhosi since the demise of Bidvest Wits at the end of last season.

Chiefs were hoping to sign the trio but saw their appeal against a FIFA ban dismissed, leaving the club unable to sign new players until July 2021.

As a result, all three players will need to find employment elsewhere.

A brief statement from the club read: "Due to the CAS outcome we can only sign players from July 2021.

"As a result, the players that were training with the team will be leaving to join teams of their choice."
