Kaizer Chiefs have responded to reports that Abha FC have made a lucrative offer for Samir Nurkovic by insisting the striker is not for sale.

Media reporting suggested the Saudi Arabian club were keen on acquiring the services of the Serbian hit-man who scored 14 goals in his first season at Chiefs.

But Amakhosi have strongly dismissed the rumours with a statement on their social media channels.

The club said: "No club has approached us to negotiate for his services. We can’t let go of our top striker at this stage. We are not flexible in the market while waiting for CAS outcome."

Chiefs are currently unable to make any signings following their transfer ban, pending an appeal to FIFA.

Nurkovic, meanwhile, signed a three-year deal with the club at the beginning of last season.
