Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have a packed fixture schedule ahead of them competing in three competitions, but Willard Katsande is confident their squad can cope.

Amakhosi face a stressful second half of the season, competing in the CAF Champions League, Nedbank Cup and fighting to defend their Premiership title.

Chiefs are currently fourth in the league standings, 10 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and long trips into Africa for the CAF competition will take its toll on the club's players.

However, Katsande believes they have the required depth to be competitive on all fronts in 2016.

"I think we have a fantastic squad that is capable of keeping us in track on all three competitions because we have to do well in all these competitions," he told Football411.

"Those are the perks of playing for a club like Kaizer Chiefs."

The midfield playmaker revealed their main focus will be on the Premiership, but added they would be looking to compete in all three competitions, especially since they were knocked out of the CAF Champions League at an early stage last season.

"I think for now we are focused on the task at hand [the league] but we really need to do well in the [Champions League] this season," he added.

"Yes we do not know much about them [Volcan de Moroni] but pretty much the same thing will happen throughout the competition because you are playing teams from all over the continent.

"But we entrust the coaches and I know they will prepare us well for when we get to the competition. We want to do well and go further this time after what happened last season."
