Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns star Hlompho Kekana has praised the talents of new team-mate Andile Jali and is hoping to play alongside him in the Brazilians' midfield.

Jali returned to South Africa this year, following a four-year spell at Belgian outfit KV Oostende, and signed a long-term contract with defending Absa Premiership champions Sundowns this month.

Kekana believes the former Orlando Pirates star has the ability to improve the Sundowns team but also emphasised the fact that Pitso Mosimane's charges value teamwork very highly and won't depend on individuals.

"We all know how good Andile is and he will make us better as a team whether it's me playing with him or someone else," Kekana said, according to SowetanLive.

"I have been fortunate not to be overlooked for a place [in the starting [XI] and that the coach picks me. But at Sundowns we can play with different players and we are not dependent on one person."
