Cape Town - Cape Town City owner John Comitis has admitted that Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo's demands are "unrealistic".

Khuzwayo, who has been Itumeleng Khune's understudy for the better part of his proffesional career, is wanted by the Citizens and could become their fourth signing of the January transfer window.

City have already acquired the services of defender Kwanda Mngonyama, Kenyan forward Masoud Juma and winger Surprise Ralani from Swedish outfit Helsingborgs IF.

With Aubrey Ngoma and Lehlohonolo Majoro off-loaded to Mamelodi Sundowns and Wits respectively, Comitis and head coach Benni McCarthy are looking to make a real impact with luring quality players to the Mother City.

City's goalkeeping department consists of an aging Shu-Aib Walters (36) and Sage Stephens, who has been struggling between the posts.

However, Khuzwayo will not come cheaply and Comitis admits to wanting to get the 27-year-old on City's books.

"Yes, we want to sign Khuzwayo and we’ve already engaged his agent, but his demands are unrealistic," Comitis told Independent Media.

"The numbers they are asking for are unaffordable," Comitis explained.
