Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela is hoping for an early goal to put Ivory Coast giants ASEC Mimosas under pressure when they meet on Saturday.

Amakhosi go into the second-leg of their CAF Champions League first round 1-0 down after losing the first-leg at the FNB Stadium last week.

Chiefs have lost their last four matches in all competitions, finding themselves knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Orlando Pirates, while seeing their hopes of defending their league title quickly evaporating after falling 13 points behind Mamelodi Sundowns.

They now have no choice but to score in the Ivory Coast. A 1-0 win would take the tie to extra time, but a 2-0 or even a 2-1 victory would see the Soweto side through to the next round.

For Khompela, it's all about his side taking the chances that come their way:

"The thing that concerns me most is a situation again where we dominate, create chances we don't take and then suffer an accident," he told The Sowetan.

"We want to go to Abidjan and get an early goal and put pressure on them. If we can get a second, then I think we'll have them struggling," he added.
