Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has questioned the match officials in Wednesday's Telkom Knockout final, saying they should have sent off Leonardo Castro for a second bookable offence.

The Colombian striker was subbed off at half-time by 'Downs boss Pitso Mosimane, but Komphela feels they should have been reduced to ten men before making the substitution.

"Nobody knows why Castro was substituted but my suspicion was that he knew he was not supposed to be on the field," Komphela told the Sowetan Live.

"He was supposed to have been sent off for a second bookable offence after kicking the ball away."

Komphela and his team will now cast their attentions towards Saturday's clash with league leaders Bidvest Wits at the Cape Town Stadium.

Amakhosi currently occupy fourth place in the Premiership table, trailing Wits by eight points.

Kick-off is at 18:00.
