Cape Town - After beating Orlando Pirates 1-0 on Sunday, Bloemfontein Celtic coach Steve Komphela next faces old club Kaizer Chiefs.

However, he insists there is no room for sentiment when the two sides meet at FNB Stadium for a midweek Absa Premiership clash on Tuesday, August 28.

Komphela stepped down from his role at Amakhosi in April following fan violence at the Moses Mabhida Stadium after Chiefs were beaten in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals by Free State Stars.

He failed to win a major trophy during three years at Naturena, but has started well at his new club, guiding them to three wins from three games.

"It's only fair not to be emotional. This one is out of our way, take it one game at a time," Komphela told SuperSport after the victory over Pirates.

"Then we'll go into the next match, look at what their strengths are, weaknesses and where we can probably work better."

Celtic sit joint top of the Premiership table on points, trailing Bidvest Wits only on goals scored with a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs are six points behind Phunya Sele Sele, having also played one more game.
