Cape Town - Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen urged striker Mabhuti Khenyeza to put in more effort during training in order to get back into the starting line-up.

Reports have suggested that Khenyeza is looking to leave Arrows after a falling out with the coach.

The 33-year-old veteran has not featured in Arrows' last three games and is yet to score since Larsen took charge.

"Mabhudi is not doing enough to warrant a starting place at the moment or be in the 18-man squad, and we choose our team on merit," Larsen told KickOff.

"And if you are not working hard enough and other players are, we've got a very competitive striking force, we got Ryan Chapman, we got Mwape Musonda.

"If Mabhudi is in the team one of them will be out and they will not be happy about not making the team, so he is just one of the other players.

"There is no malice towards him, so he's got to keep working hard and fight for his place in the team."
