Cape Town - Kudakwashe Mahachi claims life was tough during his brief stay at Mamelodi Sundowns but he's enjoying football again at Golden Arrows.

The Zimbabwean international winger was allowed to leave the Brazilians after falling out of favor with coach Pitso Mosimane after just seven starts for the club and the 22-year old admits the high expectations at the club made it difficult for him to adapt.

"I came from Zimbabwe and went straight to a team with huge demands, big pressure and high expectations," the former Chicken Inn winger told KickOff

"I feel I did fairly well in my first season as I was in the team a number of times.

"Sundowns is a club where you are not given a chance to make mistakes as there is always another equally capable - if not better - player waiting for his chance to play.

"So it is always about pressure at there.”

Mahachi has enjoyed an upturn in form scoring three goals and registering four assist in his first 13 Premiership fixtures since his transfer to Abafana Bes'thende and believes the freedom of allowing to play his natural game has helped him regain confidence.

"After I wasn't registered this season due to the foreign quota, I knew that coming to Arrows meant my priority would be to get my confidence back so that I can show what I am all about," he added.

"At least at Arrows you can be given a chance to rectify your mistakes in the next game."
