Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka believes that newly recruited attacking midfielder William Twala made the difference in their 2-1 win over SuperSport United.

The former Chippa United star came off the bench to score the winner for the Amakhosi in an Absa Premiership clash played at the Cape Town Stadium.

On the night, Maluleka who also managed to get on the score sheet, said that he was delighted with Twala’s contribution as Chiefs bagged three valuable points.

“He (Thwala) really made an impact for the team after coming on to replace Bernard (Parker),” insisted Maluleka

“He did very well for the team and himself, especially by getting his name on the score sheet as well when we needed the goal most.

“He really made the difference for us and I’m really happy for him.”

A win for Chiefs moved them to the 3rd spot on the log and they will face Polokwane City in their next league assignment at the FNB stadium on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
