Cape Town - Orlando Pirates captain Oupa Manyisa admits that he still has some way to go before returning to his best form.

Manyisa made his return to fitness recently after missing most of last season with an ankle injury.

The 28-year-old is working hard to be in a position to lead the Buccaneers in the new season under coach Muhsin Ertugral.

"Obviously it's good to be back. I have played a few games in the preseason and I can see that I am not 100% there," Manyisa told Soccer Laduma.

"But I have to take my time and not rush myself. The secret is to keep pushing and working hard but I have to take my time and with time I will reach my peak."

Pirates will face Golden Arrows in their season opener at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.
