Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Oupa Manyisa says the Buccaneers are fully focused on securing a top half finish in the Premiership as their resurgence continues.

New manager Kjell Jonevret has steadied the ship at Mayfair since his appointment, with an unbeaten run of six games now in all competitions bringing the confidence back into the Sea Robbers' squad.

However, with the Soweto giants are coming up against the top two teams in the league, Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates respectively - the club captain insisted they are not thinking of ruining title challenges.

"The only thing on our minds is us doing well and seeing where we end up when the season is over. We have nothing to prove," Manyisa told the SowetanLIVE website.

"Bidvest (Wits) and Sundowns are the two best teams right now in the league, so it's going to be a test for us.

"We are going to be underdogs in these games, but at the same time we feel okay."

Pirates face off against the Students on Thursday evening (kick off is at 19:30) and will play host to champions Sundowns on Sunday afternoon (kick off is at 15:00).
