Cape Town - Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic believes his team produced their worst performance of the season in Wednesday's Absa Premiership victory over Bloemfontein Celtic, and wants better next time out.

The Sea Robbers claimed a 2-1 win over Siwelele although they appeared to lack their free-flowing football in the final third.

Strikes from Musa Nyatama and Augustine Mulenga guided the club to the three points, with Lorenzo Gordinho managing Celtic's only goal in the contest.

The result sees the outfit from Mayfair keep up their title challenge behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who beat Chippa United 2-0 on the same evening.

After the encounter, Sredojevic said he expected big improvement in his side's next league clash against SuperSport United on 11 April.

"In 35 matches this season, this may be our worst performance, whether it was the pressure of having to win or not, we have to go back and analyse to come back much stronger than this," he told SuperSport TV in the post-match interview.

"We need to improve every department, defensively, midfield and attacking-wise. The only positive for today is that we won the game. We did a total risk when they went a man down. Putting four strikers upfront and launched a five-man attack which paid off in the end.

"We pulled (Thamsanqa) Gabuza to defence. The first time he has played there and we needed that because Happy (Jele) was injured and it paid off because we won the game. The only positive is the three points.

"The rest of the things are for the constructive critics and the rest of the things are to improve to come much stronger next week when we face SuperSport."
