Cape Town - Despite Baroka FC’s late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw, Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic remains optimistic about his charges progress.

Hassan Banda cancelled out Thabo Qalinge's first-half strike to salvage a point for the Premiership minnows at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The Buccaneers are more organised defensively than last season and the Serbian-born coach, who is his second stint at the club, mentions that his side will go back to the “drawing board”.

"We started really well and dominated the first-half and when we opened the scoring we agreed at half-time that instead of sitting back and defending we shall come out and defend by playing football and trying to kill off the game," Sredojevic said in his post match interview with SuperSport TV.

"However, instinct that is inside the players pulled them back. We were dropping back and then came the corner kick (from which Banda scored) and this is where we have been punished.

"We are supposed to kill the game and punish them. However, we need to pick up the pieces as we are a work in progress.

"We will analyse what went wrong when we conceded a goal. Why we have dropped back in a situation when we could defend by playing the ball upfront and attacking and killing the game. We will go back to the drawing board and work hard to prepare for the next game against Ajax Cape Town."
