Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane rates this Absa Premiership trophy "bigger than any other league title" he has previously won.

Mosimane joined a select group of coaches as he clinched his fourth PSL title after Sundowns beat Free State Stars 1-0 at Goble Park on Saturday to see them end the campaign two points clear of Orlando Pirates.

With their exertions in the CAF Champions League, where they made it all the way to the semi-finals and having to also fight off a charge from the PSL where the league wanted dock them points, Mosimane reckons this is his sweetest victory.

The Masandawana mentor joins Gavin Hunt, Gordon Igesund and Ted Dumitru to have won four PSL titles as head coach while it is also the first time Mosimane has led his team to back to back championships.

He told Supersport TV after the game against Ea Lla Koto: "Very emotional for me. As I said, it's bigger than any other league title we have won.

"Lot of issues around this title. As I said, I'm not excited for the league title but I'm happy for the people that came, for the club and for the players.

"It was a hard-fought one and especially for me, we created a lot of enemies. It's not nice to win a title like this, it's not nice."

Mosimane went on to credit his entire coaching staff as Sundowns won their ninth PSL title as a club.

Jingles added: "No man is an island. I could never have never done it without the support. No man has been successful and said it was all me.

"I brought in coach (Teboho) Moloi because he's got the experience - I needed somebody who is a fully-fledged coach.

"Probably he is the only assistant coach in the PSL who was won a title for himself.

"Then we brought Rhulani in. I saw him at under-19. I knew he was a very intelligent coach. So the hype around him was getting bigger

"KB is a top physical coach. To have players playing so many games and to not have a lot of injuries. Today it finally caught up with us with Sirino getting a muscle injury.

"I have been supported by the board, by the chairman, by the technical staff. Everybody. So, I just want to congratulate them."
