Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says there is no need for his side to panic over the long-term injury to Sibusiso Vilakazi because they have a big squad.
The 28-year-old recently ruptured his Achilles tendon while on national duty with Bafana Bafana and has been ruled-out of action for the next six months.
Mosimane admitted that he is sad with the setback to his star forward as he was rediscovering his best form.
“It's sad, it's unbelievable. He was getting there for us. He scored against Amazulu, his confidence was up,” Mosimane told KickOff website.
“Ja, it's a professional sport. Football is a professional sport, injuries will be there.
“We will miss him. But contrary for us missing him, it also gives somebody a chance to play. Unfortunately, he will miss the Champions League.
“We have new players like Toni Silva, Lebohang Maboa, Musa Lebusa, Andile, a lot of new players in the team. It will gel, it will come, it takes time.”
