Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs Executive Chairman Kaizer Motaung admits that there is no reason to panic at the club’s current state.

According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi have not registered a win for five games straight in all competitions.

The reigning Absa Premiership champions are not in the pack along with log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, to lift the 2015/16 crown at the end of May.

Motaung says realistically they have a chance of finishing second and deems that winning back-to-back titles is out of their hands at the moment.

"There is nothing to panic about. If you look at football in the world now that's the trend,” said Motaung.

“Who thought Leicester City would be leading by seven points and that Manchester United will be fighting for top four? That Manchester City will also be fighting for a top four finish? There is no reason to panic at all. We will finish the season and start well next season.”

Chiefs will be switch their focus to the PSL as they travel to the Mbombela Stadium to face Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Kick-Off is at 19:30 on Tuesday, April 12.
