Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has rubbished speculation linking the club with a whole host of new players.

Motaung has dismissed reports that Amakhosi are looking to sign Kagisho Dikgacoi, or any other player. The 31-year-old defensive midfielder is available after he was left out of Cardiff City's plans for the 2016/17 season.

Other players linked to Chiefs in recent times include May Mahlangu (free agent), Siphelele Ntshangase (Black Leopards) and Bantu Mzwakali (Ajax Cape Town).

However, the Glamour Boys have seemingly finalised their squad for the upcoming campaign, and appear unlikely to bring in any more new faces.

"No, we are not looking for players and we are not talking to any players. If anything comes up we'll make an announcement or put it on our social media, but currently we are not looking at anyone."

The club have already made close to 10 new signings for coach Steve Komphela to work with.

Chiefs' revamped squad start their league season with a tough away fixture against Bidvest Wits on August 23.

The action gets underway from 19:30.
