Cape Town - Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia says star forward Siphesihle Ndlovu is targeting a move to Europe rather than joining another team in the Absa Premiership.
Ndlovu is in sensational form for the Team of Choice and was recently rewarded with a call-up to Bafana Bafana for the Four Nations victory in Zambia.
National team coach Stuart Baxter selected the 21-year-old for the semi-final win over Angola as well as the triumph in the final against hosts Zambia.
The player has scored four league goals in 2017/18 for the outfit from Pietermaritzburg and has shone in what has been an impressive campaign for Maritzburg.
Nonetheless, Kadodia says his focus is on performing well for the club although his intention is to one day play overseas.
He said: "We've secured a contract with Ndlovu and also we did speak to him and his agent that it's the right thing for his career."The player's wish is to go to Europe if it's possible. And his agent guided him that his form has been impeccable and being in Maritzburg will help him in maturing into a better player. But we'd like to honour his wishes to go to Europe first."
