Cape Town - New Kaizer Chiefs signing Lazarous Kambole says he is a disciplined person who is respectful and holds a firm belief in a higher power.

Historically, some new Chiefs players have struggled to deal with the fame and celebrity that comes with joining one of the biggest clubs in South Africa.

However Kambole, who signed for the team from Zesco United in Zambia, says there is no danger of him going off the rails at Naturena.

He told Chiefs' official website: "I am a God-fearing person. I am a very humble person. I listen and take advice.

"I don't judge people by their colour, creed or character. I am always open to new ideas.

"I live a quiet life. It is rare to find me roaming the streets. I have two friends, who, just like me, are spiritual.

"We go to church together and spend lots of time at home sharing the gospel."

The 25-year-old forward faces big expectations as he looks to improve an attack which managed just 33 goals in 30 matches last season.
