Cape Town - Anele Ngcongca cited the presence of coach Pitso Mosimane, as well as the strength of the squad at his disposal, that convinced him to make the switch to Sundowns.

"Of course it was the coach (Mosimane)," said Ngcongca when asked about his move to Sundowns. "I saw the team last season winning the league, so everybody wants to be associated with the champions."

"Once they signed Vila, I knew that I was going to come too because I enjoyed playing with him in Bafana.

"They have Khama (Billiat) and they have (Keagan) Dolly, so my job will be easy as a defender," he told reporters.

Despite being one of the most experienced players in the current Masandawana outfit, the former Genk defender has no illusions of walking straight into the starting line-up upon his arrival.

"I want to achieve what the team wants to achieve, which is to win titles, and as you know I am not an individual player but a team player, and I am willing to work for the jersey of Sundowns," he adds.

"I know it is going to be tough because they have good players. The competition will be tight and I am willing to give it my all," he concluded.
