Cape Town - New signing Aubrey Ngoma wants to create his 'own legacy and history' at Mamelodi Sundowns and says he is no replacement for Keagan Dolly.

Dolly departed the club last year to join French club Montpellier and although Sundowns have other left-footed attackers like Percy Tau and Khama Billiat, it's Ngoma, who was signed earlier this month, who is being touted by some as a replacement for Dolly.

"I am a different player to Keagan," the former Cape Town City, Black Aces, Orlando Pirates and AmaTuks forward told the Citizen.

"I am not here to replace anyone. I am here to create my own legacy and my own history with the club. I am not even focused on replacing anyone because Sundowns have played a lot of games now without Keagan and they have been winning.

"I don't think that there is any player at the moment that I should be thinking of replacing because I come in as a different player to what was here before and I am looking forward that when I leave, I leave a good legacy in the history of the club."

Ngoma is still finding full match fitness after a long-term injury but came off the bench to make his Masandawana debut in the 3-0 win over Platinum Stars last weekend.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are set to face Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday evening in an Absa Premiership clash held at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Kick-off is at 20:15.
