Cape Town - Thabo Nthethe admits Sundowns will look to avoid complacency when they face a struggling Bloemfontein Celtic outfit at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilians face off against a Celtic side devoid of any confidence at the moment, with contrasting runs of form - Celtic have lost their last five fixtures, while Pitso Mosimane's troops have won their last five.

Despite being labelled as favorites for the Premiership clash, the South Africa international defender claims they will have to be at their best in order to beat his former side and maintain their lead at the top if the standings.

"As a team, we are expecting a tough game especially because Celtic are not playing well," Nthethe told The Sowetan.

"They want to do well and move up the table, so it is not gonna' be easy for us. We want the three points, but we know we have to fight.

"I was with Celtic for many years and they are a part of my life. What is happening there is part of the game," he added.

"It's not the first time it's happening. It happened when I was there but we came out of the situation. It is part of the game that you have to pull up your socks and work harder."
