Cape Town - AmaZulu striker Bonginkosi Ntuli has revealed that Usuthu are paying him more than Swedish top-flight Djurgardens had offered.

Ntuli remains a Mamelodi Sundowns player after the Brazilians loaned him out to AmaZulu, following a previous loan spell at Platinum Stars.

The striker was however close to making a move to Europe in the off-season after a trial in Sweden, but has claimed the Allsvenskan club's offer was insufficient to tempt him away from South Africa.

"There was interest from the club, they wanted me to stay but we couldn't agree on the amount," Ntuli told reporters.

"The offer was slightly less than what I earn now according to what my agent told me.

"I gained experience by training with the team and when I returned home I was fit and that helped me when I joined Usuthu, I didn't struggle."
