Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Gustavo Paez admits that the club is already focusing on next season.

The current campaign has been underwhelming for the Soweto giants as the Naturena side will complete the season without any silverware.

Chiefs chairperson Kaizer Motaung has also come out saying that the 2016/17 season as been disappointing.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi travel to Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace looking to overcome the slump in form as they take on Platinum Stars.

“We are used to teams playing their best football against us,” said Paez as quoted by the club's official website.

“(Platinum) Stars won’t be any different. It is going to be a tough match.

“We have recovered well from the Polokwane City loss. We are excited about the prospects of getting back to winning ways with this match.”

“We have a strong mind-set here,” emphasises Paez.

“Of course we are disappointed with the current form and we want to make it right.”

“We have next season in mind,” continues the Venezuelan striker, “but first things first we have to win these two games and close the season on a high.

“We are professionals and know that we are serving a very hopeful and faithful supporters base.”

Coach Steve Komphela and his team completed their routine pre-match training on Tuesday morning before taking the trip to the North West Province.

“The coach told us to remain focused,” concludes Páez. “He also reminded us to finish the chances that we create.”

The Glamour Boys occupy fifth spot with 47 points and Dikwena are in 11th position on the log.

Amakhosi ended the 2015/16 season in fifth place with 46 points from 30 matches. Wins in the two remaining fixtures will see Amakhosi ending the season with an improved 53 points in the bag.

Kick off is at 19:30.
