Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town striker Nathan Paulse feels the team struggled to move on from their early season triumph, insisting some of the young players were caught in the post- MTN8 excitement.

The 33-year-old scored the winning goal in the MTN8 final against Kaizer Chiefs in Port Elizabeth, helping the Urban Warriors clinch the first silverware of the season.

Since then, Roger De Sa's men struggled for consistency in the league, as they find themselves ninth in the Premiership standings with 30 point from 23 games played so far.

"I think we've learnt what you have to do to achieve and as soon as you have achieved it we have to move on," Paulse told KickOff.

"I think that's something we have struggled with as a team and we haven't learn on how to move on from the MTN8 win, and how to use that in the league."

Paulse says that players have become complacent and that their mind set wasn't where it should have been.

However, 34-year-old says that the players are young and will learn from this experience as they age.
