Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates are reportedly interested in securing the services of Kaizer Chiefs winger George Lebese, who has struggled for playing time under Steve Komphela.

Lebese created some controversy earlier this month when he took to his official Twitter account and suggested he would leave Chiefs if it meant he would get regular first team football.

He tweeted, "All I wanna do is play football regardless of what colour shirt I have on."

As such, a source told the Citizen that he is less than pleased with the current situation, and would consider a move, with Pirates said to be interested.

"He has always been unhappy since Steve (Komphela) took over because he doesn’t seem to believe in him," The source said. "He is a senior player in the team but was made to fight for his place like youngster."

Cape Town City have also seemingly emerged as a contender for his signature, as ambitious boss John Comitis looks to build a capable squad under new coach Benni McCarthy.
