Cape Town - Orlando Pirates striker Lyle Foster may be set to join Ligue 1 giants Monaco in January, but right now he still considers himself a Buccaneers player.
Eighteen-year-old Foster will soon complete a move to France after a successful trial with Monaco resulted in him being awarded a five-year contract.
With Arsenal legend Thierry Henry currently in charge at Stade Louis II, it means Foster may soon get the opportunity to be coached by one of the greatest strikers in the history of the game.
But while the youngster can't help but dream of what that would be like, he is still taking his remaining time with Pirates very seriously.
"I am still an Orlando Pirates player, but it’s God’s will and I just have to follow it," said Foster.
"I think anyone would look forward to work with him [Henry]. He was a top striker and now he is a top coach, so I can’t wait to learn from him.
"But I am still at Orlando Pirates and I don’t want to think about that too much."
Foster came through the ranks at Pirates as a development player, having joined the club when he was just 12-years-old.
The young striker is hoping to get an opportunity to play for the first team again before he leaves to join Monaco.
"Pirates is my home and I have been there since the age of 12," he added. "I don’t know any other club but Pirates. My target is just to train well and hopefully get a chance, and if I get it take it with both hands. I just want to see the club doing its best."
