Foster reportedly jetted out of South Africa on Sunday evening to link up with the outfit for what will be a follow-up assessment.

The 17-year-old has already spent time with the team from the French Riviera after going on trial with their reserve side last November.

The player is said to have informed his Pirates team-mates of his move on Saturday which will involve a 10-week stay in the Principality.

FIFA regulations state that minors under the age of 18 are prohibited from being signed by professional clubs abroad, which means that the forward can only put pen to paper after 3 September when he turns that age.

As such, the Amajita starlet is expected to return to SA to complete his matric exams in October, with a transfer set to go through in January on a permanent basis thereafter.

The Sea Robbers academy graduate managed one goal in nine league appearances in 2017/18.

In addition, Foster has been prolific for the U20 national side where he hit four goals in five appearances during AFCON qualifying.
