Orlando Pirates are keen to extend the contract of striker Lehlohonolo Majoro which is set to expire at the end of the season.

Although Pirates have an option to exercise a one-year extension on his deal, reports suggest that Majoro will be offered a new contract altogether.

Majoro joined the Buccaneers in a controversial move back in 2014 from arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

"For now, what will work is the one-year option. The club is going to exercise that one-year option which means that he will still be at the club until June 2017," a source told Soccer Laduma.

"Then, if they have to negotiate the new contract, it will be later this year as his contract will be expiring next year."
