Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane says he was pleased by his side's performance but not the result in the 0-0 draw with Chippa United on Saturday.

Masandawana moved into fourth place in the Premiership table, two points behind league leaders Baroka FC but with two games in hand after their goalless stalemate at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

After maintaining their unbeaten record away from home this season, Mosimane feels it was two points lost due to their dominance on the pitch.

However, he went on to laud the Chilli Boys for their resolute defensive performance and organisation to keep the scoreline goalless.

"It's a very good game of football, we tried our best but our best was not good enough, to be honest. But we got numerous chances and open ones," he told SuperSport TV.

"It's just the technique hey. Percy had so many chances but it's a good game, entertaining game on a Saturday.

"We controlled the midfield in the second half and that's why [Hlompho] Kekana didn't have the legs in the end and we brought in Mshishi [Themba Zwane]. We brought in Anthony [Laffor] and [Yannick] Zakri but unfortunately, we could not get much.

"We dominated but domination doesn't mean anything if you don't put the ball in the net. But I rather take that than we play 0-0 and we don't "play", the integrity of the club is important.

"We played but it doesn't mean we'll score all the time. They're a good team, they're stubborn."
