Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits he 'would be so happy' if Percy Tau plays against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Kick-off is at 18:55 (SA time).
Tau is currently on loan at Club Brugge, who travel to face Real at the Santiago Bernabeu in matchday two of the Champions League.
The 25-year-old was named on the bench for the round one tie with Galatasaray but did not make it on to the field.
However, the former Sundowns striker has recently forced his way into the starting line-up with three assists and one goal from two starts in the club's last two games, which has given Mosimane hope that his former player will get a chance to shine on football's biggest stage.
"He has been looking for that. I am so happy we contributed to that dream. I would love to see him play.
"I was disappointed he didn't play last time. Even if it's five or ten minutes, just for him to step into the Bernabeu. That's a dream," said Mosimane.
"We are all emotional and waiting for him so we can say 'wow this is the player that we know well, we used to see him play here'. I hope it can open doors for other guys. So, it's a big dream.
"Let's wait and cross our fingers. Even if he plays for one minute, I would be so happy."
