Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed his intentions to make a few more signings before the closure of the transfer window at the end of August.

The Brazilians have already made several big-name signings in the off-season with the capture of Sibusiso Vilakazi from Wits, Lucky Mohomi from Free State Stars and Ricardo Nascimento from Brazil.

Mosimane has insisted that Sundowns are done with their old ways of recklessly spending in the transfer market and will only make key acquisitions to contribute to their CAF Champions League ambitions.

"We still have to fill slots, I am holding on and I know why I am holding on. I think we can have late signings," he told The Citizen.

"You sign players because you have realised that in that position you need to reinforce, and also you must look at who you are bringing in because we have made a lot of mistakes and brought in good players but maybe they cannot carry the yellow shirt ... it is heavy, make no mistake."
