Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has questioned the official’s decision to give six minutes of stoppage time in their match against Baroka FC.

The Brazilians were well on their way to the summit of the Premiership table as Bidvest Wits succumbed to a defeat against Free State Stars.

However, six minutes of stoppage time allowed Baroka FC to come from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Mosimane’s charges.

"I don't know if it was a penalty. I could not see it from where I am. I don't know if it's inside the box or outside the box," Mosimane said after the game as quoted by Soccer Laduma website.

"It's very difficult for us to see. For me it looks outside the box. It's okay. It's football.

"I'm not sure about the added six minutes. But it's OK.

"What surprises me is the guy says five and suddenly it’s six. I'm not complaining because we lost, I mean drew, because of added six minutes. It's part of the game. We have to continue. It's very sad. I hope the referee didn't make a mistake otherwise it's sad."

Wits’ defeat keeps the title race wide open with both side now having two matches to play.

Sundowns have the task of looking for victories against Maritzburg United and Highlands Park while Wits face Polokwane City and Sowetan giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The Students have the chance to claim the title before the final match day that is if Sundowns lose to Maritzburg next week.

All the remaining matches for the "realistic" title contenders in the race for 2016/17 title glory in the Absa Premiership.
