Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane says they will not be intimidated by the hostile reception at Stade Tata Raphael when they take on AS Vita in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

The Brazilians travel to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo for the first-leg of their second round clash with the Congolese champions.

The Black Dolphins have an artificial surface at their stadium and are known for their intimidating fans, who will be filling up the 50 000 seats.

However, Mosimane believes his team is ready for the challenge, insisting that his experience in continental competitions from his time with Bafana Bafana has given him a clear perspective on how to prepare for the encounter.

"There are venues that, when you get there, you feel you are on your own. Lubumbashi is a venue that's still in my system," Pitso said.

"And I will never forget going to the Military Stadium in Cairo with Bafana to face Egypt under coach Hassan Shehata.

"Funnily enough, in those games no fans came onto the pitch and gave us problems. The match is played on the field.

"Ferroviario Maputo of Mozambique did very well to go to Vita and lose 1-0 from a penalty in the last round, then draw 1- 1 at home. Those are the things that motivate us to say we have a chance."

'Downs marched into the second round of their Champions League qualification campaign after an impressive home and away display against AC Leopards last month.
